The Teachers

Think of this as a general listing of all the minor characters who will appear in Avalora besides the various family members of our six main characters. Yes, all of these techers will become important at some point in the series as all six vocations are represented in our six main characters. We're in this for the long haul folks. Yes, there will be names appearing in all vocations for all teachers...eventually.

General Class Rules and Misc knowledge:

Students are broken up into one of the six categories of Mages but may wander into another area of study.
All students are required to take General Studies as well as one subject from every vocation (the basic study course) until the fourth year for a total of 16 courses in one year.
In year 4 students are free from General Studies and may hone their skills in their particular category. They are also free to take classes in other vocations that may be of interest and may be a part of their magic.
Gray Mages are allowed to take specialized studies as they wish.
Students may stay on past year 10 to continue study in various fields.
All teachers can and will act as guidance counsellors for when a student isn’t sure what field of study they should be in (besides those who are obvious to one vocation as will be seen when a student takes the Magical Type Test in Term One)
Teachers also guard the halls from illegal use of magic and will report students to Headmaster
Head teachers teach the Basics Class
Students are required to take 14 classes per year from fourth to final year. This is made up of their full vocation term with optional classes from other vocations to make 14. All students from years 4+ have a scheduled Practical Period every Friday. Practical periods last from a scheduled start time until the teacher ends that Practical Period for the day. Each vocation has a different start time.
Basic Mage Lessons require 6 hours of study each term. General Vocations require 4 hours of study.
Term One begins on the first Monday of January and ends the third week of May with the fourth week of May being Exam week.
Term Two begins the third week of June and runs until the third week of November with exams in the final week of November.
Final Grades will be given out by December 10.
Room Request Forms must be submitted no later than December 12 (still based on grade).
Floor and Room Assignments will be given by December 20 and switching can occur with students with 10% of grade percentile up until December 25.
Non-Mage vocations (Driver's Education, Maths, etc) can be taken during spare periods in schedules at the students discretion.
